![]() | melissa ewartmanagerMelissa's one of a kind expertise in graphic design came from more than seven years of design experience. Upon completing her degree in Interdisciplinary Computing and the Arts at UC San Diego, Melissa has worked on various projects for event planning companies, corporate groups and non-profit organizations. Her emphasis lies in print design, but has background knowledge in producing websites, online newsletters and marketing pieces. Although her work demonstrates her proficiency in her field, she is occasionally mistaken for a student for her youthful appearance. Outside of the graphic studio, Melissa can be found savoring every moment with her daughter. | ![]() | alfredo vilanosenior designerAlfredo is the latest addition to the ASGS family as a Senior Designer − with over ten years of graphic design and marketing experience under his belt − his expertise lies in the realm of print media, layout, and brand identity. After graduating UCSD with an Interdisciplinary Computing and the Arts degree, Alfredo went on to become a creative powerhouse at the University Centers, the UCSD Guardian, and currently SceneOutSD.com. His favorite project thus far is the Price Center Expansion Launch "X" campaign as it incorporated his love of design and fun times. Designer by day and dancer by night, Alfredo shows off his smooth moves as a member of the Culture Shock SD Dance Troupe. This all around cool guy can be seen out & about enjoying SD lifestyle, dining, and nightlife. |

She is the newest member to the ASGS family and is thrilled to join the team! She has worked in the cosmetics industry for several years, where she has assisted in event planning and product demonstrations. On her free time, she works as a freelance makeup artist, enjoys going to the beach, reading, and finding the most delicious food that San Diego has to offer! | ![]() | yip hographic artistYip is a third year Engineering Science major from Sixth College. His favorite project so far is designing parts for his robot in MAE 3. Yip, who is multi-lingual, speaks English, Cantonese and Mandarin. When he is not working, studying or designing, he travels to the great outdoors, to places like Yellowstone and Yosemite, to develop his craft of photography. |
![]() | jenalyn inonggraphic artistJenaLyn is a self-taught graphic designer and freelance artist. Her first experience with the arts was as the Graphics Editor for her high school newspaper. Utilizing the position as a jumping-off point, she started experimenting with mixed-media and digital artwork. Her favorite project, CAT3 Natural Disaster Design Project, utilizes collage and designs in Photoshop, while addressing social issues that develop during a natural disaster. Now Jenalyn is refining her skills at UC San Diego as a Visual Arts - Media major. Aside from graphic design, JenaLyn enjoys movie trivia, considers herself as a "super big Harry Potter fan-dork", and vows to learn another language by the end of the year. Tanya is a Sixth College media major with an emphasis in computing. She has worked for USC’s Viterbi School of Engineering to help promote the Aerospace program by designing promotional materials. Aside from designing, Tanya is an experienced dancer trained in jazz, contemporary and hip hop. She has performed in KASA’s Freshman Dance Off and is looking forward to competing in Fusion for MASA’s hip hop team. Besides designing and dancing, Tanya also has a keen eye for photography, and can be found around UC San Diego snapping pictures! |
![]() | bearaccount executiveBear found his way into the hearts of many and became a proliferated sensation on campus. Bear demonstrates daily devotion to the A.S. Graphic Studio by working hard to bring in costumers. Due to the high demand in bears, a supply of baby bears was created to have enough of him to go around. Bear can be seen wearing t-shirts to help promote the A.S. Graphic Studio's projects and other Associated Student events. He also invokes creativity in the minds of everyone working inside the studio. Bears provides a loving atmosphere at the A.S. Graphic Studio. |
