Alfredo Vilano

Creative Manager

An alumnus of Muir College Class of 2000, Alfredo graduated with a degree in Interdisciplinary Computing in the Arts Major. His design experience extends to even before his college days, and he wakes every morning eager to apply all of his skills and expertise to ASGS projects. Currently, he enjoys working with the Center for Student Involvement, and can't wait to add his creative magic to the program. He makes mountains out of molehills, puts the "ooh " in taboo, and challenges you to question "Is this guy serious, OR NAH?" When the sun sets, this hip hop dancer turned country line dancing king takes to the stage. We're all certain he's stumbled across the Fountain of Youth, but he won't tell.

Joshric Aurea

Senior Graphic Designer

As a UCSD alum from Sixth College, Joshric started as a freshman student designer at the AS Graphic Studio and has stuck around since. Originally pursuing Computer Science as a career, he pivoted into the world of Art and Design when he started working at ASGS. Ever since then, he's pursued a multitude of forms of creativity and expression and is eager to keep learning and improving his art. Aside from making art, he enjoys video games, collecting art books, and traveling.

Israel Magallon

Senior Graphic Designer

Israel is a graduate from San Jose State University and has over 5 years of print and promotional experience. He has excellent knowledge of the apparel decoration production. He enjoys spending time with family and exploring the great outdoors. Some of his hobbies include photography, climbing, and online gaming with friends.

Nichole Gray

Marketing Specialist

Originally from San Diego, Nichole earned her BA in Journalism and an MA in Comm from San Diego State University. During her graduate studies, Nichole found inspiration working as a Teaching Assistant and also published her thesis. Additionally, Nichole has worked as a marketing and public relations professional - serving various nonprofits in the San Diego area. Beyond work, Nichole is dedicated to animal welfare with a specific fondness for cats. She lives in Ocean Beach with her husband, and their beloved cat - Gus Gus.

Melissa Ewart

Founder, Chief Executive Consultant, Mom

Melissa, or more commonly known as the Graphic Studio's main character, is the founder of the AS Graphic Studio. She is a Revelle College alumna with a B.A. in Visual Arts, Interdisciplinary Computing and the Arts. Melissa is our go-to-gal for absolutely anything and has been the heart of the Graphic Studio since 2008. She spends most of her time thinking up crazy ways to integrate innovative graphic design solutions to the UC San Diego community, but when she's off the clock (which is rare) she is somewhere cute with her family and friends, and a Diet Pepsi in hand. She is a craft master, beach lover, and mother to us all!

Hsin-Yuan is a second-year from Sixth College, studying Cognitive Science (Design & Interaction). When she’s not drawing or designing, you can catch her scrapbooking, checking out restaurants around San Diego, and playing Super Mario Bros on her DSLite.

As a graphic artist, she aspires to design things both meaningful and fun, with the hope of making the everyday a bit more enjoyable! Outside of work, you can probably find her spending all her money at local (and online) markets on things she won’t end up wearing, and browsing Pinterest for new reaction stickers!

Mojo is a third-year student majoring in Computer Science at Muir College. He loves being able to build applications and experiences using technology to make a positive impact. Elissa is a fourth-year Sixth College student majoring in International Business with a passion for visual storytelling and human connection. She loves capturing genuine moments that bring people together and turning them into something worth sharing. Amelie (she/her) is a fourth-year Communications major and Marketing minor. As part of the ASMC team, she enjoys the creativity + collaboration that goes into making social media content and marketing campaigns. Aside from content creation she dabbles in film photography and mixing music. She’s a movie fanatic, with favorites including the classic film Roman Holiday and Finding Emily.

Isabella is a third-year student at Eighth College majoring in Biological Anthropology with a minor in General Biology.  She is a member of the ASMC team and also plays as our very own Fluffy mascot. In her free time, Isabella loves to scrapbook old memories and practice new songs on electric guitar.

Aylin Estudillo

A.S. Marketing Coordinator

Aylin Romero Estudillo is a second-year Political Science major and proud Warrenator. She serves as one of ASMC’s coordinators, she loves making graphics and has used her phone + finger to trace line-art since she was young. A few of her other hobbies though is finding any opportunity to go to Dutch Bros and taking pics with her digi.
